The Hunger

 

 

Scratch in horror as I break through hollow ground

Her voice awakens me; I’m shocked at what I found  

My hands tremble all the flesh is peeled away

My body lying still before an empty grave

 

I’m dying from the inside, dying from the inside out

First the need to feed, now it’s time to bleed

 

When the hunger grows is when the pain begins

 

With new eyes lies a new world to behold

Senses heightened I feel the hunger begin to grow

So intense, this pain is killing me from inside

I take my first victim, the blood is the life

I can feel the blood flow through me, I feel so alive

 

Immortality a price to forever pay

A demon within me, the blood I’ll forever crave

Cursed I am eternally to drink the pain away

And after all these years to the hunger I’m a slave
