SKINNER: Bassist Jim Pegram rejoins band
SKINNER is very happy to announce founding member Jim Pegram (Ex-Imagika) has officially re-joined Skinner after an almost 2 year absence from the band. Just after the recordings for “Sleepwalkers” completed long-time bassist Elena Repetto-Fackler parted ways with the group in late 2012 to focus on her family. The band stayed busy with album post production as well as a non-stop list of live dates. With no time to hold proper try-outs the band utilized fill-in bassists before extending a short-lived position to bassist Rich Pelletier. Rich can be seen in the upcoming music video
“Sleepwalkers”. Things unfortunately were not working so the band parted ways with Rich and eventually called upon original bassist Jim Pegram to fill-in for a couple upcoming shows the band still had scheduled. Jim agreed to help the band out and it was clear from the very first rehearsal that he was destined to return to the groups ranks. Always the consummate professional Jim learned the new tracks in record time and performed flawlessly on stage with the band. After a few discussions the invitation to rejoin Skinner was put on the table and accepted and we could not be happier. Jim recorded and toured alongside both Robert & Norman for many years in Imagika and has been a long-time friend of Alfred’s. The chemistry is there as is the brotherhood… It’s a homecoming of sorts and the band is stronger and hungrier than ever. With the end of the year quickly approaching and 2014 on the horizon the band is gearing up to unleash the new album & music video “Sleepwalkers” on the Metal masses!!
